Today is my favourite day of the year…because to day is my BIRTHDAY! I’m 27 today and I know people say this every year, but I feel old…old and very grown up! This last year has been pretty mental and my life has been flipped on it’s head in the last 12 months, but I’ve got a feeling that this next year is going to be even better. Who’s with me?

Because of this day of celebration, this week’s Thursday Treats is a little shorter than usual. In essence, today I plan to mostly be found eating ice cream and sushi (not together though…), opening presents (I hope), going shopping (undoubtedly) and generally treating myself a lot (no question.)

Well be sure to check out Alter-ed, a brand new event hosted by the adorable Alexis of OMG I’m Getting Married and Mary Lee Herrington of Forever & Ever Events on Wednesday April 20th. Alter-ed is being held at Dartmouth House in London and is set to be one of the most unique wedding shows of the year. With some of my utter favourite wedding suppliers exhibiting, I’m certainly not going to miss out!

♥ You know what? This is one royal wedding commemorative item I can actually get behind, I love tea! A blend of White Tea, Bergamot flavouring and Rose Petals – very regal indeed.

♥ And finally, an appeal for help on behalf on my friend Dana of The Broke Ass Bride.

Dana has Chronic autoimmune diseases that requires frequent surgery on her eyes. Because of this she’s had 11 operations in the past 9 years and needs regular ongoing care. Unlike us lucky Brits, medical care is not free in the US…and it actual fact it’s really bloody expensive. She recently found out that her disease had come out of remission and she needed her 12th surgery. This alone will cost her $18,000.
