10.10.10 was the date for Michelle & Chris’ perfect elopement. The pair, who didn’t want a big wedding, headed out to Immaculata University, Malvern, PA with their photographer Simmone Von Sydney and her boyfriend Micheal. The four of them set up the beautiful ceremony and post-wedding photo shoot.
“To us, Rock n Roll means going against tradition”, Shell told me. “When I say this, I mean having an elaborate Princess style wedding with full on glitz and glamor. The glitz and glamor, in our eyes, is each other. We are just so in love and wanted a really great experience. I feel very full and content with how the day went. Almost everything in the photos were brought in by the 4 of us. Simmone and Michael have a keen eye for vintage style, and I fully trust their taste.”
Thank you to Michelle & Chris for sharing their special day with us today

Scott and Hayley were married on Halloween but they didn't want to make the obvious choice to have a spooky themed wedding. Instead they were inspired by vintage pieces (the bride wore a dress from the 1940s), and Victoriana with a Rock n Roll twist. Of course there were a few autumnal touches such as pumpkins on the tables, but overall it was just a reflection of everything they love.

Jessica and Dashiell eloped in June at Migdale Water Mill Cottage in Migdale, Scotland. The bride wore a gorgeous vintage dress from the 1930s. "After calculating the cost of a big wedding for family and friends, we agreed that we’d be much happier spending 1/3 of the cost for a small ceremony in the Highlands", she said. "It was simpler and more appropriate to find a beautiful location rather than to attempt to make a location beautiful."

When it came to planning their wedding, Nicole & Tom knew they didn't want a big fuss. In fact a private elopement at home was just the ticket. They did everything themselves from the decor to the food for their small number of guests and the music. They set up a video camera for the ceremony to be livestreamed to their friends & family that couldn't attend.

Heather and Jeremy had a distinctive 1920s vintage theme for their South Carolina wedding. Held at The Farm at Ridgeway, the Friday wedding was a true labour of love, with the bride hand crafting and collecting nearly everything herself. She scoured thrift shops and antique stores and got a lot of things from Etsy.

A Simple Napa Valley Wedding: Ronnie & Richard

July 11, 2012
Ronnie & Richard were married at Calistoga Ranch, California. Originally from Taiwan, the couple's families knew each other and had often joked about setting the two of them up, but they'd never met. It was only when they both moved to America (her to New York and him to Austin, Texas) that they started emailing and arranged to meet.
The bride readily admits that she's not a very crafty person so DIY was out of the question for their April wedding. She did however fall in love with etsy and used it to source as much as possible for the wedding. "We didn’t have anything handmade ourselves except for the 'here comes the bride' flag which Richard made", she told me. "I am not crafty, but I like the unique touch that comes from handmade products which is why I used etsy so much. I am also very into vintage style clothing and décor. I spent a lot of time researching on the site, searching for vintage wedding dress, bridal accessories, wedding favors and paper goods. At the end, I feel really fortunate to have found things I loved with affordable prices."
