Mike & Laura’s wedding excites me as not only did it take place in Tuscany, Italy but they found their photographer JMCL Photography through Rock n Roll Bride! Yesssss.
The couple are originally from Australia and chose the beautiful old town of Lucca in Tuscany to get married. Being abroad, the wedding was a very small, personal and intimate one with only their closest family and friends in attendance. The wedding was also a very laid back one – the couple arrived in the town the night before and did a lot of arranging on the spot. That’s the Italian way to do it!
“The ceremony at Lucca Town Hall was of course organised in advance, but lunch, dinner and afternoon entertainment was all put in place almost as the day unfolded!” Jordon told me. “Really heavy rain meant that Mike and Laura wanted to play things by ear; they wanted to hire bikes to ride around the city walls in the afternoon, for example, but left the decision to see what the weather was doing and in the meantime dived into a gorgeous, typically Italian cafe/restaurant for lunch. The rain stopped and they got to ride, so all was good.”
In the true spirit of all things Rock n Roll, the couple had no concern for expected traditions in favour of having a cool, stylish and classic day and of course Jordan’s photography perfectly mirrored this ideal. As a final awesome touch, Mike surprised Laura with a Fiat 500 as her wedding day transportation. How retro Italian is that!?
Thanks to Mike & Laura and to their photographer Jordon for sharing this fabulous day with us
…and hey, Jordon, you still own me a drink for getting you such a cool wedding in Italy!
