Kolby & Kennedy are all kinds of cute… and you know what? I still love balloons shoots. I’m sorry but I just can’t help it I actually don’t care if they’re not ‘cool’ anymore. I mean especially when the couple are this gorgeous! How can you not adore this? Her dress, his bow tie, those orange balloon, that light! – picture perfection.

I LOVE a bit of retro kitsch and Caroline & Jim couldn't be more perfect at pulling this off if they tried. The shoot took place in their own Art Deco apartment in Brighton (just check out the exterior shots!) which has been decorated with an eclectic mix of bits and bobs collected from all over and ranging in era from the 1920's right through to the 1970's. I adore everything from the authentic mirror, clocks and Princess Anne collectible mugs to the incredible wallpaper and all the retro furniture.
Jim is 'Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer' , a brilliant musician playing all over the country at gigs, weddings, parties and festivals. Caroline has a complete passion for fashion as she works in the fashion industry in London. The pair both embrace everything retro and nostalgic in fashion and styling, so their style was spot on for this style of shoot. The couple both wore all their own clothes to give a completely genuine portrayal of themselves and who they are as a couple.

"These guys are friends who frequent the same gigs, art spaces, and thrift shops that we go to. Their philosophy has always been to keep doing and creating, not for money, but just because they love what they do. And knowing that we were on a budget-DIY-wedding, they agreed to do a pro bono engagement shoot for us in a heartbeat. You've got to see Kassie & James' killer Roadhouse Relics (Texas) engagement shoot! The vintage, western, neon retro decor and 50's rockabilly vibe proved to be the perfect location for such an awesome couple. The store, which specialises in neon signs allowed the couple an hour to come in and get some fabulous photographs.

I've got a second picnic-themed engagement session to share with you today, however you'll forgive my repetition when you see these bad boys. Cupcakes + tattoos + bicycles + bunting + everything awesome you could want in one session = LOVE! Candace & Tyler are way.too.awesome. he even calls her 'Cupcake' AND she has the word tattooed on this inside of her fingers. Oh swoon swoon swoon... I can't wait to see/blog their wedding. This sweet and cute engagement session is something a bit different to what I often post. However I thought Krystle & Derek's Teen Vogue inspired shoot was the perfect way to show that you don't have to be all about tattoos, props and vintage picnics to be considered Rock n Roll! The couple, from Manila in the Philippines, styled their shoot themselves to have a 'mix n match' simple fashion-shoot theme. " We simply wanted our photos to look fun, flirty, fresh and alive with simple props" they told me.
