I’m so lucky that I get to feature some of the craziest, most alternative and tattoo-gorgeous weddings out there. It’s one of the biggest pleasures of my job! However, occasionally a wedding that may not be the most ‘Rock n Roll’ will hit me between the eyes and give me just as much joy. Tanya & Christan’s Boat Club ‘Love Boat’ wedding at Molesey Boat Club on the Thames has such a simple, love-filled emotion that I couldn’t help but feature.
Thanks to David for sharing these today!

I was rather over-excited when I laid eyes on Helen and Andy's Lake District wedding, shot by the amazing Neil Douglas Photography. I mean what could be more incredible than getting wedding day portraits like these in a setting like that!? Hats off to the photographer of course, but also to the awesome couple for not being afraid to potentially get a little wet or muddy. I'd love to see more brave couples like this please, who's with me?
The wedding was held in Buttermere, with the ceremony in a local church and the reception in a tipi in Buttermere field. The couple didn't have a huge budget and opted to DIY and thrift a lot. Helen wore a dress which she bought off eBay for £100 and customised with her grandmother's vintage fur (a last minute edition due to the weather).

Weddings don't have to be detail heavy or complicated to be Rock n Roll - Saskia & Paul's stunning Oxfordshire tipi wedding proves it! The Swedish tipi was erected in Paul's father's back garden, the bride had no bridesmaids and the groom had no groomsmen. For this couple, ticking things of the proverbial wedding list was of no regard - what mattered was them, their love and celebrating with their friends and family.

Gigi and Ale's big day deserves big words: This is one of my favourite weddings I've ever seen, ever, and that includes in every outlet and in every Instagram scroll. In their own words, "The whole day oozed relaxation and the ability for everyone to dismiss the fact that weddings are quite often stuffy and just let loose!" They arrived on a canal boat waving flares, left wearing trainers, and in the middle did a whole lot of incredible celebrating...
