There is something a little bit spooky about this day after session and I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is…maybe it’s the dark lipstick vs the pale skin (very stylish don’t ya know!?) or maybe it’s the vast and slightly creepy abandoned location. Either way my inner goth freakin’ loves them!
The cake was supplied by Gimmie Some Sugar and the elaborate flowers were by Weeds Floral .

A Farm Wedding with Fancy Dress, Fun & Frolics: Lauren & Matt
Kat
August 31, 2012
Lauren & Matt's started their wedding planning knowing exactly what they wanted: something relaxed, stress-free and fun. They were lucky enough to have a friend whose parents own a farm, so everything else really stemmed from that. Lauren told me all about it. "As soon as we got engaged we knew how we wanted our wedding to be, we just didn't know how to do it! The first and most important thing was to find a photographer. Being a enthusiastic photographer myself, I spent weeks searching for one that she liked, we finally came across Sassy of Assassynation and sent an excited email straight away. She immediately told us to phone her for a chat as we hadn't set a date yet, but when she told us she only had 2 Saturdays free in the 3 months that we were looking at we booked her there and then! Everything else was then planned around her."

Second Time Lucky – David & Ingrid’s Redo Portraits

"David, an Aussie living in London, met Norwegian Ingrid on a trip to Norway through friends" photographer Ed began. "They hit it off straight away and had a long distance relationship for a while until Ingrid decided to move over to London. They both share a passion for music. Dave is a guitarist and music director and Ingrid is still studying, but sings. One thing led to another and they got married in July 2008 in Ingrid's home town Stavanger, in Norway. It was a fantastic wedding with people from London, Norway and Australia. However, one thing went badly wrong... their photographer lost their entire set of photos (their photographer was not me by the way!) due to a hard disk issue. Ingrid was naturally devastated!"

We get to publish a lot of cool shit on Rock n Roll Bride but this may be one of the coolest shoots we've ever seen. It's the last official day of Pride Month (but y'all also know we celebrate Pride 365 over here) and so we are going out with a BANG.

Engracia & Andy’s Marrakech Wedding Photos
Kat
May 11, 2011
Engracia & Andy got married in Flagstaff, US but had their wedding portraits taken in Marrakech by Andreas Holm.
"We both love to travel, but didn't want the hassle of figuring out the paperwork for getting married outside of the United States," they told me. "So instead we had a very small ceremony with our closest friends and family in our home town right before we took off to celebrate, just the two of us, in Marrakesh. Even though we didn't get married in Morocco we still wanted our wedding photos to be taken there... I was dead set on having wedding photos on a camel in the desert. It was the perfect location for our wedding/honeymoon...it's exotic, romantic and the vibrant colours and people made a perfectly contrasting backdrop for our wedding photos - even though it was raining."
