Mr & Mrs Tattooboy’s Heavily Tattooed, Ass Kickin’ Rockabilly Wedding

Do you remember Mr & Mrs Tattooboy? The hot tattooed couple behind one of my favourite ever engagement sessions? Well check it out - they got hitched and I've got the exclusive on their killer wedding. When the couple first met, Kori was a cheerleader and Matt was a rocker and a tattooed artist. They soon fell in love and Kori starting getting just as much ink as her man!
"Kori & Matt’s aka Mr. & Mrs. Tattooboy, have this incredible rockabilly style & then some!!!" photographer Christina told me. "When I asked Kori about the details of her wedding she just told me she wanted it to be different from the normal-cheesy-blah type weddings, this made me really happy that she wasn’t giving in to what everyone else in the world was doing! Their unusual story & love for tattoos & rockabilly style was inspiration enough for these two lovers to plan their wedding."

A Black & Red, 50s Rock n Roll Wedding: Hannah & Lewiss
Kat
August 1, 2012
Hannah & Lewiss' small and sweet wedding was held at St Fagans Castle, the National History Museum of Wales. For their evening party they moved to the trendy Jolyons at No.10, a boutique hotel in the heart of Cardiff. The venue choices were important to this couple and they both wanted places that stood out. Hannah explained, "We both didn't believe in long engagements so we set a date for 9 months after we got engaged. Finding a unique venue was important to us, but this was harder than we imagined. Living in Cardiff, we wanted somewhere in South Wales but it seemed to be flooded with chain hotel venues or vast historic buildings which were too big for the small wedding we had dreamed of. After overlooking it a couple of times we went to visit St Fagans Castle. St Fagans is the National History Museum of Wales, an outdoor museum full of historical buildings from all around the country. The Castle is a Grade 1 listed Elizabethan Manor House set in the most fabulous gardens. Even though it wasn’t what we originally had in mind, we knew straight away it was perfect. Also it’s in the area where Lewiss grew up and his parents still live, so it being local meant a lot to him."

I don't think there's a style of wedding that epitomises a Rock n Roll wedding more than a black, white and red colour scheme and a 1950s theme! Lidia and Joaquín's nuptials were held in La Quinta de Illescas, Toledo, Spain.

Glamorous Gothic Wedding: Lauren & Justin

The Markows
February 8, 2013
The New Jersey wedding of Lauren & Justin took place in October and had a vintage gothic theme. Red, black and white were the colours of choice and everything, although mostly handmade by the bride and her mother, had a really elegant twist.
"My mother and I planned this entire wedding ourselves" wrote Lauren. "We had help here and there from my father, husband and even my mother in law. I think I should also mention I work six days a week so all planning was crammed into my only day off.. Sundays... and the little bit of time after work if I had energy!"

I joked on Facebook recently that the way to get blogged on Rock n Roll Bride is clearly to have a cat theme to your wedding, because this is the forth one I've featured in so many weeks (the others are here, here and here)! I stand by my convictions though, cat weddings are awesome. End of discussion.

Something Blue

May 6, 2010
Jessica & Karl got married in the city of Stockholm, Sweden, in the Södermalm region to be precise, which is apparently one of the coolest urban areas of the country. The wedding had a distinctly blue theme which perfectly reflected the countries nature. "Blue is as Swedish as it gets with it being the dominant colour in the flag" photographers Cole & Jakob told me "and a lot of that has to do with the importance of the ocean to the countries culture. Even the archipelago that Stockholm is built amongst is surrounded by the blue of the sea, and that colour was an underlying theme through the planing of this wedding."
Jessica wore a dress by Design by Marja Collection with a beautiful handmade hairpiece by Percy Handmade and a flawless hair net made by Tied and Feathered. Karl wore a Western North Carolina tie from Me & Matilda which again matched their 'something blue' theme.
