Alison & Steve had their wedding at Baldwin School just outside of Philadelphia, a really old but truly stunning location. Not only did they have a folk band to welcome guests to the reception, but to round off the evening they had a local circus group as entertainment!

January 7, 2011
Do you remember Mr & Mrs Tattooboy? The hot tattooed couple behind one of my favourite ever engagement sessions? Well check it out - they got hitched and I've got the exclusive on their killer wedding. When the couple first met, Kori was a cheerleader and Matt was a rocker and a tattooed artist. They soon fell in love and Kori starting getting just as much ink as her man!
"Kori & Matt’s aka Mr. & Mrs. Tattooboy, have this incredible rockabilly style & then some!!!" photographer Christina told me. "When I asked Kori about the details of her wedding she just told me she wanted it to be different from the normal-cheesy-blah type weddings, this made me really happy that she wasn’t giving in to what everyone else in the world was doing! Their unusual story & love for tattoos & rockabilly style was inspiration enough for these two lovers to plan their wedding."

Insane Italian Vintage Circus Wedding: Michelangelo & Francilla

September 3, 2013
Unlike so many Italian weddings that they'd been to before, Michelangelo and Francilla wanted a day that was big, ridiculous and most of all fun! They went for a vintage circus theme, and oh boy, they really did go all out on the theme! Francilla told me all about it, "In Italy it’s quite impossible to have a different wedding and not do everything traditionally. It’s so hard to get away from the 'rules' that everyone says you have to obey, but we worked hard to make sure we did! We would have never been happy to marry in this way, and luckily our families knew it!"

Kat
August 17, 2012
With a budget of just £8500, Kelly & Matt pulled of a wedding that perfectly encapsulated everything about them. From the cute red colour scheme, the DIY details and the relaxed photography, their wedding was one to remember. "We did absolutely everything ourselves for as little money as possible!," began the bride. "We wanted the day to represent us as a couple and to be really personal. We wanted to make it a really relaxed atmosphere and make sure all our guests and we had fun. The theme was slightly retro, with red as the main colour set around black and white polka dots and loads of red love hearts! Everything looked exactly as we had imagined and seeing it all for the first time was one of my favourite parts of the day. All the details looked amazing and we were glad we put so much time and effort into them."

Vegan Vintage Sideshow Wedding: Andi & Brian
Kat
November 16, 2012
After four years of dating, Andi & Brian were engaged while on a trip to Australia. Brian proposed while they were visiting Luna Park in Sydney, which is affectionately referred to as the 'Coney Island of Australia'. So when it came to planning their wedding this was their starting point.
"We really wanted to have a wedding that was very fun and non-traditional, so we kept with a vintage Coney Island/sideshow theme", explained the bride. "It was perfect for us. Having the right décor was key in making the vintage-y, Coney Island feel that we were hoping to accomplish. We were so lucky to work with great vendors who were excited to help, especially Obnoxious Antiques who we rented the vintage carnival and sideshow pieces from. They also provided the sideshow banners that were hanged throughout the venue. A friend even painted a custom sideshow banner of Brian, me and our dogs!"

A Black & Red, 50s Rock n Roll Wedding: Hannah & Lewiss
Kat
August 1, 2012
Hannah & Lewiss' small and sweet wedding was held at St Fagans Castle, the National History Museum of Wales. For their evening party they moved to the trendy Jolyons at No.10, a boutique hotel in the heart of Cardiff. The venue choices were important to this couple and they both wanted places that stood out. Hannah explained, "We both didn't believe in long engagements so we set a date for 9 months after we got engaged. Finding a unique venue was important to us, but this was harder than we imagined. Living in Cardiff, we wanted somewhere in South Wales but it seemed to be flooded with chain hotel venues or vast historic buildings which were too big for the small wedding we had dreamed of. After overlooking it a couple of times we went to visit St Fagans Castle. St Fagans is the National History Museum of Wales, an outdoor museum full of historical buildings from all around the country. The Castle is a Grade 1 listed Elizabethan Manor House set in the most fabulous gardens. Even though it wasn’t what we originally had in mind, we knew straight away it was perfect. Also it’s in the area where Lewiss grew up and his parents still live, so it being local meant a lot to him."

A Dirty Fabulous Circus Wedding: Caroline & Peter
Kat
November 5, 2012
Running her own vintage boutique, Dirty Fabulous, in Dublin, Caroline was in the perfect position to plan her DIY circus themed wedding. She and fiancé Peter knew from the outset that they wanted something fun and unusual, and they had the perfect place in mind to host it. "We go to flea markets at the Dublin Food Co-op building and we always loved it", the bride began. "It’s not particularly pretty by any stretch of the imagination but it always has a lovely vibe. We were at the market one Sunday and we both said that if we were ever to get married that it would make an awesome venue. It just went from there really, it took me about 6 months to convince the co-op to let us do it and we didn't have a back up plan if they said no."

I love Lucy & Adam's wedding SO MUCH. Not only did it take place in my home town of Reading (yey!) but they hired a big top to host their reception! But this wasn't any old circus wedding, oh no these guys went all out. An airstream stage, a granny's living room and musical performers a-plenty!
