I love unique wedding dresses don’t you? When I was choosing my own dress my decision was confirmed for me when the shop assistant said ‘well that one is not very popular’… SOLD!
Brazilian Bride Juliana seems to have the same opinion as me – her dress is so original and so fabulously glamorous! The dress was actually handmade by designer Isabela Capeto (her sister! She also made the cute Bridesmaid dress) and so defiantly is a one of a kind creation. I love it.
Thanks so much for sharing Ju !

Yeah...so...um...speechless.

Seriously people! get a load of this sheeeeeit. OK OK let me get myself together for a second....
Margaret sent me a sneak peek to her incredible wedding to Edi back in October and I had to wait until this week to see the rest of them. Do you know how hard that has been for me?! I actually teased the above photo on Twitter the other day and someone replied asking if it was a photograph of heaven...that's a pretty accurate assumption I think!
The couple were legally married at Edi's parent's house and the reception took place in the fairytale setting of The Bali Room in the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta and Margaret told me all about it.
"Our theme was Alice in Wonderland. I picked Alice for my theme, because I've loved it since I was a little kid and because my Mom's name is Alice. The main colour was dark purple because purple represents magical and darkness in the same time. its so glamorous! Our family members wore purple shade outfits."

A Rainy Brazilian Wedding with DIY Details: Cecilia & Luciano

August 16, 2012
Cecilia & Luciano wanted a simple wedding inspired by their choice of venue, Pousada Estrela D'água, in Trancoso, Brazil. "My inspiration was the wedding venue", explained the bride. "The village of Trancoso, Bahia, is beautiful and simple at the same time. That's what I sought in all my wedding decisions. I did not want anything too pretentious. For the decorations we used photos of family and tablecloths that belonged to our great grandmothers. The decor had a bit of our history and showed a lot of our personality."
Cecilia made her own dress from the lace of the veil that her mother-in-law wore when she married. She also designed and made the bridesmaid's dresses. "There was no specific theme to anything really", she continued. "We just tried to do everything as simple as possible."

A Quirky Brazilian Wedding Planned in Just Two Months: Juliana & Tomas

May 24, 2012
Organised in just two months, Juliana & Tomas' wedding was held in Brazil on the very date that they first met. The bride explains, "Tomas & I met two years ago through a mutual friend. At that time, Tomas lived in New York and I lived in Sao Paulo. In December 2009, Tomas went to Brazil to work and our friend invited him to spend New Year's Eve in a house I'd rented at the beach. We spent 6 days together and, two months later, we met again, but this time in New York. We started a long-distance relationship, which lasted just 4 months, because I decided to come to New York. My plan was to spend a season in New York, study and invest in our relationship. Back then, we were very uncertain about our relationship's future, but now we have no doubt we made the best decision."

A Waterside Wedding in Rio de Janeiro: Adriana & Daniel

For their November wedding, Adriana & Daniel were keen to inject as much of both their cultures (Brazilian & British) into the day as possible. The event was held at Iate Clube de Búzios, a yacht club in Rio de Janeiro. The bride designed her own dress and used handmade lace from Renda Renascença with the help of dressmaker Inês Uemura.
"Sometimes you shoot a wedding that is so amazing, that it is only when you look back on your images and film that you can actually even remember what happened," wedding photographer Maria of Studio 1208 told me. "The whole thing is so effortless, yet it moves like a beautiful old steam locomotive, thundering past you and carrying you away into some distant land."
