As a general rule, I tend not to promote random bridal events. My personal feeling is, that if you want to go to a bridal show/sale/event you are more than capable of searching these out yourselves. However The NOT Wedding is one bridal affair I make an exception for. Not only is the concept truly unique, but by using the awesome Our Labor Of Love to photograph the show, the results really have provided some fabulous inspiration I’m sure all you guys can enjoy. The idea behind the event was to hold a wedding show that showcased some of Atlanta’s best vendors by setting up 5 fabulous fake weddings – formal, betsey (funky and hip), California, picnic and palm beach.

Retro Pin Up Valentines Lovelies

With the day of hearts, flowers and lurrrve fast approaching, I have been inundated with Valentine's themed submissions, however this retro/pin up shoot from Jen Will may well be one of my utter favourites.
The shoot took place in her own kitchen which was the perfect setting for the baking theme. "This is part of the reason I love my apartment." Jen tells us "It is the coolest apartment ever, and my love for it is part of the reason I have yet to join the adult world of home ownership. It has a bathroom that would probably rent out as a large bedroom in New York City and a classic stove that came straight from the original Be Witched TV show. No matter where I live in the future, I will always love this place. I am so glad I got to document it in such a special way!"
I have to agree... and seeing these really makes me want to get my arse in gear and decorate our house! Thanks to Jen for sharing these.

Beth Retrois a stock photographer from Essex, England. I came across her gorgeous images via the wonder that is flickr and I straight away knew I'd be sharing these as some non wedding - wedding inspiration.
Whimsical and beautiful, her use of out-of-focus, twinkling lights and bright, luminous colours is right up my street. She also appears as obsessed with balloon as french fancies as I am so it's gotta be good!
For more of Beth's work check out her flickr stream, or herEtsy store of you fancy treating yourself, I know I will be!
