I just can’t wait any longer. I have to get these amazing photographs from a genuine 1960’s wedding up as soon as possible! I just know you’re going to love these.
This post and the ‘is it/isn’t it an actual wedding from the 70’s?’ debate was so popular (and popped up on so many other blogs afterwards too) that I just know you will all adore this one. (Just in case you were wondering, The Love Boat wedding, actually turned out to be a modern wedding, but done in such an authentic vintage fashion!)
Taadaaa..proper 1968 love…(taken by a 13 year old photographer with a Kodak Instamatic camera!)

I'm not really supposed to have favourites, but Betty might just be one of the most beautiful and radiant brides I've ever seen... I am totally smitten with her 1940s vintage lace dress (bought on eBay for £40!) and that adorable white faux flower crown and simple bouquet combo. Total perfection. She married Johnny in Cornwall during April and the wedding only cost £5000.

Lorna & Dave were married in Southend in April. Their ceremony took place at The Culture Centre, right on the pier, and their reception was at Ocean Beach, a restaurant on the beach. "The theme for our wedding was British seaside with a touch of vintage", wrote Lorna. "The beautiful blue sky and sunshine really made the day that extra bit special. It was amazing! The children were able to run about and play on the beach at the reception and the view from the decking at Ocean Beach was incredible."

A Backyard Beach Wedding Planned in Three Weeks: Nellie & Matt
Kat
September 13, 2012
Nellie & Matt planned their Whistable wedding in just three short weeks. They wanted something small, something personal and something relaxed. They found the amazing Beacon House, right on the beach, for their ceremony and were able to use the back garden of the bride's brother's holiday cottage for the reception.
"Serendipity and our amazingly supportive family and friends brought our wedding together in just 3 weeks," the bride began. "Matt and I had been engaged for 3 years, neither of us are planners but we had a clear idea of the kind of wedding we wanted, a relaxed, seaside celebration centred around our close friends, family, good food and drink. But every option we explored in Cambridge and Brighton, our two home cities, in one way or another tied us into expensive packages, so we put off the wedding and skipped to the baby."

The Love Boat

I remember this wedding from a few months ago and I've just re-found the pictures, aren't they cute? The ceremony took place on a beach, with the reception on a boat. The photographs have such a 7's vibe to them, it makes me wonder if this wedding was actually from the 1970s! Can anyone shed any light?
