Robyn and Kevan’s wedding was a gorgeous, intimate affair. I love the look (and the idea) of having an outdoors, one with nature wedding (but unfortunately I don’t see enough of them in rainy England!)
Kevan custom designed some green converse to match their wedding colours and had the date of the wedding put on the back..who says it’s only the Bride who gets to have fun like this? This Groom has got some definite Groom Style – I love it!
This wedding looks so fun and relaxed with some beautiful details. I also adore those portraits on the swing..amazing!

Woodland Nymphs

How do I even begin to describe a wedding like this? Eco? Hippy Chic? Organic? Ourdoorsy? Woodland nymph-like? Musical? Midsummer Night's Dream-esque? None of these words seem to do any kinda of justice to this beautiful wedding.
Samuel & Jessica were married in Moravian falls at Pennel Horse farm. They wanted they day to have a raw and natural feel with a bit of mystical charm and simplicity. "They defined their wedding by what they love and not what tradition says to do", photographer Shelley told me "so they combined some common elements of the wedding ceremony, seasoned with of a little bit of hippie, funk, vintage and organic charm. Every little thing was a reflection of who they are as individuals and as a couple."
Their bridal/groomal parties were huge and the woods were filled with light and music from the lanterns they all carried and the drums they played. The ceremony was a really emotional one (as you can see from the video below) the pair washed each other's feet and Sam even sang and played guitar to his new wife. The reception looks like a blast! The guests ate great organic food and they danced into the night around a giant bonfire.
Jessica's dress was by Amalia Cararra. She bought her dress at "Stardust Celebrations" in Dallas, Texas, where she she was spotted by the creators of a new reality show on WEtv called "Girl Meets Dress." The couple's love story will be aired March 9th as the premier episode! Be sure to check out a snippet of their wedding video below as a little sneaky peak!
Thanks to Shelley, Jess & Sam for sharing their a.m.a.z.i.n.g ceremony and wedding with us (and yes, there are over 100 photographs in this post but I had to include them all!)

Bohemian Family Cookout Wedding: Tyler & Kristen

October 24, 2012
Tyler & Kristen were married at Camp Sky Ranch in Boone, NC. The inspiration for their day was a 'bohemian family cookout' with nods to the 'flower power' and 'peace & love' vibes of the 1960s. The barefoot bride wore a simple dress from Rosa Clara with vintage jewellery and a flower garland in her hair.

Homemade Pennsylvania Farm Wedding: Lauren & Red

Lauren and Red's Pennsylvania wedding was a real team effort. It planned by the bride, her mother and their neighbour Patience. The wedding was held on the couple's own farm. "Patience taught us how to make homemade limoncello and smoked salmon and helped so much during the wedding making sure things ran smoothly", Lauren explained. "My mother is a crazy collector of beautiful dishes, as well as ideas. She is also a food connoisseur so she helped add tons of vision and plan the menu. Patience’s daughter got married the weekend before so we were able to share a lot of supplies and ideas which worked out very well as well as work trade. My mother in-law Eva planned the rehearsal dinner which also happened to be my birthday. She created a picnic outdoor super with barbecue chicken for 45 two days before the wedding. She also helped decorate!"

Eco-Friendly Downtown Art Gallery Wedding: Amber & Jo

Amber & Jo's art gallery wedding was held in downtown LA. They kept things informal and low key, really wanted to focus on the ceremony and hoped to create a real community feel.
"We wanted our wedding to be a representation of the things that are important to us and that we love, so we put a lot of thought into the details of the wedding", explained Amber. "We tried to create an experience for everyone that would be a memorable celebration of our love for each other and for our friends and family. Our venue, ArtShare, a non-profit that supports low income youth to get involved in the arts, was perfect in that it allowed us to support a great organization while also providing the perfect physical space. The venue is part warehouse (reminiscent of some of the great downtown LA parties we've been to); part art gallery, which created a lovely reception space; and part theater, where we had the ceremony. It also provided a great spot for photos, with the downtown LA skyline in the background and that uniquely LA combination of colorful murals, graffiti, historic buildings and palm trees."
