Did you ever hear
Of the frolic fairies dear?
They’re a blessed little race,
Peeping up in fancy’s face,
In the valley, on the hill,
By the fountain and the rill;
Laughing out between the leaves
That the loving summer weaves.

I am really enjoying posting non-wedding specific inspiration right now. You can get wedding ideas from anywhere and everywhere. Although this shoot is not wedding related, wouldn’t it be amazing to have a photo shoot like this of you and your partner (or your Bridesmaids!)
A little bit gloomy, little bit gothic… a lot fun, sultry and stylish! These make me want to go play in a forest, dress up in tutu’s and cause some general mischief.

As soon as I saw this shoot sent over by wedding photographer James Melia I instantly started wondering what this girl's story was and what the photographer and stylist wanted to tell us.

Time travel. Steampunk. Victoriana. Turn of the century industrialism. If you love any of these things then you're going to die over this shoot, sent over from Ireland by the fabulous Chemistry Photography.
"We put together this shoot with an amazing crew of 20 creatives including designer Alice Halliday (she's the glowing goddess who designed Florence Welch's infamous cape), Pearl & Godiva (styling genius and vintage hire guru), and rockstar make-up artist Kathryn O'Neill (she rocks the wedding world and all the Irish mags)", photographer Kait told me.

As an ex goth, I can’t help being attracted to dark art in general", began Lauren of French Made, who provided the cakes for this shoot. "Plus my recent obsession with the series called ‘Vikings’ and their Pagan way of life gave me inspiration. I was lucky enough to find a fabulous team of wedding suppliers as ready as I am to push the boundaries and willing to get involved and create the most eye pleasing alternative bridal styled shoot."
