Happy Monday people! There are a lot of very exciting things happening at Rock n Roll Bride HQ this week starting with my very first guest blogger. This week – today, Wednesday and Friday, I will be featuring some gorgeous Rock n Roll inspiration boards from the fabulous Emily from Peach & Pearl , designed especially for us.
Also, while I’m at it, a quick reminder that you have 2 days left to get me your final entries for the free wedding photography contest . We have had some absolutely aaaamazing entries so far and it is proving very difficult to choose the winners! The winners will be notified sometime this week! woohoo
OK, so on with the inspiration..take it away Emily!
I’m thrilled to be here this week! I post an inspiration board every Monday on Peach & Pearl , and when I was invited on to guest post, I thought it would be fun to try and combine Kat’s style (in her words: “pink, tattoos, monochrome, vintage, the Wizard of Oz, and brightly colored stuff”) with my more classic and sweet style. It was a fabulous challenge and I hope you’ll enjoy the results! Ngoc Minh Ngo ) in the top left corner. From there, I put the bride in a bright royal blue dress and the groom in a slim-fitting white dinner jacket. The slightly-Spanish vibe comes through in the citrus centerpieces, the fruity drinks, and the bright linens – with those colors popping on your tables, what other decor do you need? Hang cut paper garlands in doorways and line outdoor walkways and ledges with tealights or punched luminarias to create inexpensive atmosphere.

Charly & Kelly’s Pink, Red & Valentine’s Backyard Wedding

I've got another couple that you might recognise adoring these pages this afternoon. Do you remember this incredibly gorgeous vintage, floral and tattooed bridal shoot? Well the wedding to go along with the stunning shoot is just as visually gorgeous.
Charly & Kelly has a beautiful back garden wedding in June at the bride's parent's home. The couple were married at 7pm by Lisa Torti, a mutual friend who had introduced them. They filled the garden with twinkly lights, giant pink bows and candles. The bride started collecting candy, cupcake and valentine themed items early on in the planning to use as decorations. The awesome spider candle holders used as centrepieces were purchased during Halloween, to which she added pink and red bows. The invitations were made by the groom’s aunt and included a vintage valentine that was used as the reply card.

I've got a fairytale Chilean wedding to kick of this Easter Monday for you today. Last weekend Francisca & Juan Pablo got married at the gorgeous Fundo San Miguel in Colina, Chile. Francisca wore a pastel pink, 80s (in a good way!) style vintage Oscar de la Renta gown which she matched perfectly with a pair of shoes she'd had forever! Juan Pablo rocked a bow tie like any good Rock n Roll groom!

Off the Hook Carnival Eye Candy
Kat
November 17, 2009
I knew Amy & Jesse's wedding would be off-the-hook with it's intense awesomeness as soon as I saw and blogged their engagements a while back. Surely a couple this offbeat and rockin' couldn't have anything but a super crazy, kooky, inspirational and incredible wedding day could they? However, even I was blown off my chair when I laid eyes on these little beauties. Their DIY, carnival wedding was not only ridiculously creative and awe-inspiring but the couple themselves literally looked like a candy covered explosion of kick ass attitude and fun all over! (By the way I fully realise that my explanation of my thoughts on this wedding probably make little or no grammatical and linguistical sense - however my intense excitement over getting to blog these appears to have rendered by logical brain dysfunctional!) Got it? Right...on with the show...
A HUGE Rock n Roll thank you to Marina of Red Heart Photography for sending these over. I couldn't wait to blog these (as always) and so the photos below are actually only part 1 & 2 of her posts. Go check out her blog over the next few weeks for even more eye candy!

A Modern Wedding on an Aeroplane: Robyn & Tom
Kat
August 2, 2012
Both air traffic controllers, and with a mutual attention to detail and love for planes, Robyn & Tom were thrilled when they were allowed to get married on a Pacific Western plane at Edmonton Aviation Museum. "It took a lot of convincing but the museum were gracious to allow the bride and groom to use the airplane", explained their Canadian wedding photographer Elizabeth of ENV Photography. "Guests were assigned seats on a seating chart that mimicked the chart that you pick your seat from when booking your plane ticket! Prior to the groom walking down, his sons and daughter walked down the aisle and handed out cookies to all the guests - just like a real airline!"
