I’m on a (rock n) roll and I ain’t stopping, especially with these photographs to share – I know you are gonna go crazy over them (yeah I say that a lot but it’s really really true a lot.)
Remember this ridiculously fabulous movie credit style wedding video? The one with the Groom with his sexy voice and the Bride with her awesome tattoos? Sure you do!
Well the couple just got their wedding photographs back and Kate sent them straight over to me..woop woop! I didn’t think it possible after seeing their video, but the photographs are just as fantastic and they really make them look like total rock stars – seriously the most awesomely tattooed couple I’ve ever had the pleasure of blogging!
The couple did a lot of DIY to make their wedding totally their own…
We made all of our centerpieces out of vinyl records, and my husband hand painted/water-colored all of our table numbers. Our favors were temporary tattoos, and then a some of our friends that are also artists, painted “wedding related” pieces and we made them into stickers. We also built the altar.
Clicky here fore more (164 images!) Unfortunatly too many for even me to post!
The couple also have a watercolour and jewellery etsy store which you really must check out too. OK on to the good stuff!

It feels weird to start a real wedding post with a disclaimer of sorts but this is just one of those weddings that I share with a small sense of trepidation. Without wanting to sound like anybody's mother, let's just remember that this is two people's actual wedding day and their way of expressing their love. I am under no disillusion that parts of the wedding may well divide opinion, but as always, let's keep the comments constructive and remember what Rock n Roll Bride is all about...

Katie and Christopher dropped just $1000 on their amazing wedding. They hosted it in their own home, the bride bought her dress online and the reception décor was put together by the couple themselves. They had a bubble machine on the ceiling, costume accessories, creepy mannequins, sparklers and black silk petals. Their seating was all thrifted to save cash.

A Black Wedding Dress, A Traditional Church Wedding & A Burlesque Themed Reception: Scarlet & Craig

Scarlet & Craig's wedding wowed me as soon as I spied that dress. I was so excited to be able to share this incredible Goth extravaganza and luckily for you lot, so were the newlyweds. In fact Craig's reply when I emailed him back saying 'Yes yes, hell yes (ps your wife is hot)' was something along the lines of 'OMG so excited that you're going to feature us!!! Squeeee'.
"I'd never really thought about my wedding day growing up, so when Craig proposed on a trip to Amsterdam (with a tattoo that simply said 'Marry Me' on his wrists!) I was thrown into a bit of a panic!" Scarlet explained. "But as soon as we started planning we knew we wanted to do things our own way. Luckily we found Rock n Roll Bride, which made us realise there really are no 'rules' for a wedding, and then we just went all out! We didn't start out with one, but as we went along we developed a kind of pink and black gothic fairytale theme, pink being my favourite colour, and black being Craig's!

Oh I do love when I get to blog both the engagement shoot and wedding of such an awesome couple. Rock Music, Halloween & New Orleans: Tyson & Allie

June 17, 2013
Tyson and Allie's Florida wedding had a music themed wedding with touches of Halloween, New Orleans and vintage. They didn't want a stuffy and regimented wedding, they wanted a wedding that was a massive celebration of all the things they love. "Halloween is my favorite holiday however I didn't want to make that the main theme", explained the bride. "I wanted to add a touch of elegance. My first inspiration was our favorite place, New Orleans. We went on our honeymoon there and instead of making the wedding really obviously Halloween themed, we added the vintage New Orleans spin. It turned out to be the perfect mix!"

Glamorous Gothic Wedding: Lauren & Justin

The Markows

The New Jersey wedding of Lauren & Justin took place in October and had a vintage gothic theme. Red, black and white were the colours of choice and everything, although mostly handmade by the bride and her mother, had a really elegant twist.
"My mother and I planned this entire wedding ourselves" wrote Lauren. "We had help here and there from my father, husband and even my mother in law. I think I should also mention I work six days a week so all planning was crammed into my only day off.. Sundays... and the little bit of time after work if I had energy!"

Now this, my friends, is what being a Rock n Roll bride is all about. It's not about flowers, or favours or a fancy wedding venue. It's not about what you wear, who your bridesmaids are or what theme you have. Being a Rock n Roll bride is about doing your own thing, marching to your own beat, and saying "I do" in a way that feels right for the two of you. That's exactly what Rob and Edie did which is why I'm so excited to share their wedding with you today.
